Description ~ Testimonials
~ Registration Info
"I appreciated the clear
demos, the repetition of concepts, and the upbeat tone. Being
able to rewind and rewatch parts [of the videos] also helped, and makes me feel more
confident about eventual in-person classes."
-- Online course graduate (anonymous), 5/7/2020
Description of Blended Learning:
- Blended 1-2-3 perfection:
- Now, at your own home and leisure:
learn as much as you can (online course
description). Earn a Certificate of
Completion.
- Anytime in the next 3
years, when you're comfortable and
ready: attend our
in-person course to solidify your
hands-on skills and earn SOLO WFA Certification (2 years).
- currently offered each year in Colorado,
North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, and possibly Indiana, Kentucky,
Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah
- Have any friends/family to enjoy a visit in
these areas, while taking class?
The online learning portion (#1 above) essentially is free, because
Blended Learning has the same exact fee as our in-person class.
When you attend the in-person class,
- you'll be far ahead of others who have not completed your advance online
learning.
- you'll be able to soak in more fine details of giving care, having already
learned the basics.
- you'll learn so much more, via repetition. Yes, you'll get the same
content twice.
- If have the time and would like doubly-deep learning, Blended Learning is
best-suited for you.
- If your time is limited or main focus is getting WFA certification, then
heading directly to our in-person classes (schedule at right) may be best for
you.
Testimonials:
-
"I learn better by reviewing matter a few times, so I
appreciate having the online segment prior to the in person segment."
-- Sue M., 6/21/20
-
"These videos could be good pre-work for the
participants so they have a good foundation during the course and are able to
think strategically about the situations being discussed in-person to make the
most of it. I personally am looking forward to taking that approach when I
get a chance to schedule my in-person class."
-- Drew B., 7/25/20
-
"Appreciate the combination of relatively short videos,
practice and readings. The practice is what really makes a nice break (amidst
videos) and know we will get more of that in a live class."
-- Diana C., 6/22/20
-
"You all are so engaging and both in person and online
you all have made it fun to learn."
-- Eric C., 5/14/20
